Chatroom Demolition

This beloved website host of ours in all their wisdom decided to remove the chatroom application. However, it is still possible to find and download another application perhaps, so anyone who would be interested in that can contact me at michael.dyck@gmail.com
Happy Valentines Day, gang.

Just a few pleasantries this year. I ordered 40 new mattresses for the Cabins. They are in !!! We are snow shoeing now and the lake is freezing over for Ice fishing. We hope your winter is going well and, miss each other, Life is Much Shorter than you think. We will try to have the Camp in really good shape for your visit this year. God bless you all, Bruce and Jennifer-- Bitterroot Camp

Retreat pictures.

Many of you have been asking about retreat pictures on here, but I'm afraid it's still just the camp website right now, we may expand to retreat, but that seems to be in the distant future. Sorry!

Hans' Poem

Here is the poem by Hans Zeiger that he read at the last camp '06 campfire. I'll see if I can find a more permanent place for it and other things like it on the site, but until then, enjoy. (Used with his permission.)

Long Past the Time when Camp is Done
Long past the time when camp is done
When night has felt the setting sun
When life in all its joy and thrill
Remains past sin and guilt's old drill

We'll join a glorious heaven camp
Where neither curfew, sleep, nor damp
Will keep us from the peaceful lake
That God has promised to never forsake

And as we swim and laugh and hoot
In all that heavenly Bitterroot
We'll praise the God who brought us here
To water deep and blue and clear

And as the grace of God is shed
The thought may come into our head
God bless that old Montana shore
Where we'd sing praises years before.

A couple of things

Firstly, I've added a chatroom, so check that out. Secondly, in case this wasn't clear, you need to sign up for the main site, galleries, forums, and chat room seperately. Just use the same user name and password and that should make it easier for everyone.

You're going to want to write this down

From July 12 - 19, 2007, cancel all weddings, birthday parties, dentist appointments, and anti-war rallies because that's when you'll be back at camp.

There are now discussion forums here:

I think this will be handy for questions and comments. Possibly also for fun.

So it begins

Mike and I've slowly begun uploading pictures now and categorizing them. I'll probably start uploading en masse very soon. I'm also thinking about adding forums to this place, but it all takes time. By the way, pictures are here:

For you noobs

To all you people who are signing up now, please just use your real name as a username. We're the only people using this, so we don't need aliases. You don't need to include your last name, but if someone else has your name, just include an initial or something. This helps a lot in trying to figure out who is from camp and who isn't. You have to be recognized in order to be approved. This is for our own privacy.

Assistant Administrator

I, Dave Dyck, am now the assistant administrator, weilding nearly unlimited power. So far all I've managed to do with this power is make a cute little logo for the top there, that doesn't even really match the rest of the site, but hey. I'm still trying to get used to this system, so hang in there. Also, if you haven't yet, sign up.
